Xiteng, a senior geotechnical engineer in our Edmonton office, prospers in the face of challenges and the unknown. In his 25 years’ experience, he’s been drawn to unique and complex projects that benefit from his creative problem-solving skills and the empirical knowledge he has gained from completing a wide variety of geotechnical projects.
Originally a civil engineer, he has transitioned to the geotechnical field using his passion for technical research to solve uncommon field issues. Since then, he has acquired experience in many aspects of geotechnical engineering, with a focus on fundamental soil mechanics, soil-structure interaction, and numerical modeling for clients in oil and gas, mining, transportation, and infrastructure. Within the office, he is passionate about mentoring and encouraging his peers to learn and think critically as a team.
Xiteng is also committed to lifelong learning in his personal life. He is an avid reader of history and philosophy, and he also enjoys exploring new cultures through his passion for travel.
