An architect in our Winnipeg Health studio, Michelle focuses on improving design and functionality while creating environments that are sensitive to both staff and patient user groups. Michelle has a keen interest in health equity, trauma informed care, and design/planning for culturally safe care.
Michelle leverages her strong technical and visualization skills to effectively communicate with clients and the project consulting team to achieve an efficient and effective design consensus. She works closely with engineers and architects to address the architectural elements of every project. Some of Michelle’s recent projects, where she served as a clinical planner and architect or designer, include a renovation and addition to Critical Care at the Brandon Regional Health Centre, expansion of Renal Dialysis for the Health Sciences Centre, redevelopment for the Weeneebayko Area Health Authority, and the Inuvik Long Term Care Facility.
When she isn’t designing health spaces, Michelle can be found in a plant store calculating how much window space is left in her home, trying to make traditional family recipes, cuddling her pup, and or planning her next big adventure.
