Stu has more than 30 years of experience in transportation infrastructure and transit-oriented development, as well as experience in the heavy civil construction industry on multiple projects valued at over $1B as well as numerous smaller sized projects. Stu actively promotes solutions that embrace sustainability, such as building for the future of smart cities and autonomous vehicles and other game-changing innovations.
Since joining Stantec in 2007, Stu has progressed through several leadership roles, including serving as the Transit & Rail leader, Transportation business line leader, and business operating unit leader for Infrastructure.
Stu holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Lehigh University and a master of science degree in civil engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology. He is LEED certified and an Envision sustainability professional. Stu has served on multiple professional organizations in the past including ACEC NY Metro Board, and he’s currently a member of the Board for ACE Mentor Program and AEC Unites.
