Jacob’s experience includes flood impact risk and assessment, stormwater, groundwater, and coastal environment management. He provides technical support to help manage impacts on the water cycle for a range of transportation, land development, and other civil projects.
With a background in environmental approvals and a good understanding of NSW legislation, Jacob has a unique blend of technical skills which are required to understand the water cycle. This includes geospatial information software (GIS), hydraulic, hydrological, and terrain modeling. Currently, he’s enjoying working on several projects within the West Dapto Urban Release area, where a large amount of greenfield urban development is proposed across the catchment. It will require important consideration for flood impact and risk in addition to waterway management.
When he’s not designing water systems that serve local communities, Jacob likes to exercise along the coast and go out for a coffee. You’ll likely find him at his local beach or a National Park.
