Proper management and wise use of America’s public lands, especially for environmentally responsible energy and mineral development, are Doug’s passions. And they’ve resulted a very successful 37 year career…and counting. Doug has worked in federal resource management agencies, as well as in the environmental consulting industry, on the permitting, regulation, and NEPA (National Environmental Preservation Act) analysis of energy and mining projects throughout the West.
Doug recently served as the NEPA project manager for a geothermal energy exploration project in Central Nevada. This project could pave the way for the development of a clean alternative energy source, the creation of additional jobs in an economically depressed rural Nevada, and an increase in the tax revenues for local communities.
Outside of work he enjoys time with his family, trail riding, and working with their horses.
