Farley has more than 20 years of experience managing, analyzing, and presenting spatial data solutions. As a Canadian technical leader for geographic information systems (GIS), he is responsible for the standards and quality of our GIS work in Canada.
Specializing in identifying analytical techniques and solutions for environmentally based questions, Farley acts as a GIS liaison with discipline specialists to identify and analyze project requirements and the technologies required for the best data management solutions. As a senior technical specialist, he also provides expertise on the behind-the-scenes systems required to complete work to industry standards in an efficient, robust, repeatable, and defendable manner. Farley enjoys solving technical challenges and creating workflows that not only reduce the time taken on tasks, but also increase the quality assurance of outputs.
Outside of work, Farley likes to spend his time with family and friends in the outdoors, biking, hiking, paddling, and training for and competing in cross country ski and biathlon races.
