A multidisciplinary professional geologist and geographic information systems (GIS) specialist, Joan has a combined 25 years of experience in mining and environmental projects. Her expertise includes database management and development, quality assurance and control, and GIS and geologic modeling. She has worked in an open pit mine and participated, led, and managed field sampling projects. She has also authored technical reports including mineral resource estimates for public listing on international exchanges.
Joan’s passion is to transform field sample data with geology into 3D models and maps that form the basis for mineral resource estimations and decision making around groundwater or contaminates for mining projects. Drawing on her strong GIS, geological, and consulting background, she helps clients manage and review their data to find paths toward achieving their goals.
When she isn’t busy refining data and models, Joan enjoys backpacking, climbing, skiing, fishing with family, and Zydeco dancing.
