Hamid has more than two decades of geotechnical experience in industry and research. He has been involved in conceptual and feasibility studies, geotechnical investigation and design, and project construction for various sectors. These include oil and gas, mining, power, transportation, water, as well as residential, commercial, and industrial developments.
In addition to his industry experience, Hamid has served as the chair of the Calgary Geotechnical Society in 2018 and the Geo-Institute of the American Society of Civil Engineers, San Diego Chapter in 2023. He has authored and co-authored several articles on advanced soil constitutive models and time effects (creep and stress relaxation) in granular material in reputable peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings.
When he’s not working on developing geotechnical solutions for infrastructure projects, Hamid enjoys spending quality time with his family, playing soccer and chess, and hiking whenever he gets the chance.
