As a project manager and cultural heritage specialist in the Ontario region, Lashia has extensive knowledge of report writing, heritage policy review, and analysis. She’s worked for both public and private sector clients, providing various services, including heritage impact assessments, evaluations, and inventories of cultural heritage resources. Lashia also has experience with heritage conservation districts, conservation plans, and cultural heritage bridge evaluations.
Lashia enjoys seeing how heritage resources can be incorporated into community development projects. When working on the Downtown St. Thomas Heritage Conservation District project, she prepared a heritage conservation district study and plan for St. Thomas's downtown core. This included an inventory of more than 200 properties and policies to manage change in the district for future alterations, additions, and developments.
Gardening, cooking, hiking, and cycling with family are all activities Lashia enjoys doing outside of work.
