A senior aquatic ecologist with more than 28 years of experience, Mike has extensive knowledge of aquatic resource inventory, fisheries, aquatic resource sampling, impact assessment, and mitigation. He enjoys working outside and learning the details of new project sites.
Mike has designed, implemented, and managed biological monitoring studies for mine sites across Canada. These have included environmental baseline studies, mine permitting, fish community sampling, sediment sampling, and impact assessments. He has also managed bathymetry studies, metal and diamond mining effluent regulations (MDMER) schedule 2 assessments, and environmental effects monitoring (EEM). Mike has been involved in the Greenstone Gold Mines Hardrock Project as a fisheries lead supporting the new open pit mine development. Overall, his focus is on understanding client needs and building strong client relationships.
Mike has a great love of the outdoors and spends time with his family enjoying outdoor activities like hunting, camping, and of course, fishing.
