With more than 20 years’ experience in urban and transportation planning and design, Becca recognizes that streets and infrastructure don’t just connect places—they connect people with opportunity. A senior transportation planner, Becca has led and collaborated on a variety of complex, high-profile urban initiatives including complete streets capital projects involving green infrastructure, transit, bicycle and pedestrian enhancements, bus priority/transit advantage projects, light rail transit and station area planning, transportation planning studies, policy work, as well as numerous transit-oriented development projects. Her most recent work in Minneapolis on the Hennepin Avenue South Reconstruction project, the METRO Blue Line Extension LRT project, and collaborating with her colleagues on the 10-year Transportation Action Plan highlight her diversity of experience. Her expertise and key leadership skills allow her to foster meaningful connections with her colleagues, as well as stakeholders in the communities she serves.
While working for local city government in transportation, land use, urban design, preservation, and environmental planning, Becca found that with every project comes endless opportunities for learning and growth. She strives to share her experiences with fellow industry professionals and has presented at several conferences in the Twin Cities area, as well as at the ITE International Conference in Austin, Texas and the NACTO Designing Cities Conference in Toronto, Canada.
Her passion for sustainability and environmental planning, seen within her work, is carried into her daily life. Becca loves spending time outdoors – running, skiing, gardening, biking, taking transit and spending time with her family and friends.
