Mahdi is a civil engineer with nearly 35 years of experience in the water and wastewater infrastructure sectors. He supports large-scale water and wastewater programs and infrastructure projects in international and developing country environments.
Throughout his career, Mahdi has managed and delivered water and wastewater infrastructure and related systems. These include production and treatment plants, storage tanks, pumping stations, main transmission lines, distribution network and household connections. He’s also worked on lift stations, sewer collection, treated sewage effluent, and treated wastewater ocean outfalls.
Mahdi joined us to oversee the Water Disinfectant, Sanitation, and Drainage (WSD) Project in Timor Leste, funded by the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). As the program manager, Mahdi has overall responsibility for program performance and continuously reviews the team’s plans and strategies for successful program delivery.
Mahdi has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Arizona and is a certified professional engineer in his home country of Jordan.
