Cory specializes in the design and delivery of complex buildings. Combining his expertise in computational design with deep investigations of specialty materials and assemblies, he develops research-based design solutions for projects with complex form and materiality. He finds satisfaction in the richness and complexity of the challenges that arise from blending the new and unexpected with familiar expressions of warmth.
Currently, Cory is the lead architect for the façade and complex interior spaces of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art—to realize the complex, seamless organic forms of the design, a number of unique and unprecedented façade and interior assemblies were developed. As the steward of the design intent for these assemblies in their long journey from concept to constructed work, he balances consideration of form, materiality, and performance to achieve wholistic solutions that enhance the original vision. To accomplish this, he engages in extensive research and collaboration with a global façade team of specialty designers, engineers, fabricators, manufacturers, and installers.
Beyond his passion for architecture, Cory is a devoted father and husband and a lifelong surfer.
