Briony firmly believes that effective communication and engagement strategies are critical to a project’s success. With this in mind, she helps clients and project teams engage with communities so that local needs and views are understood, values are acknowledged, and diverse perspectives are considered. Her team works closely with all interested parties—partners, iwi and hapū, councils and governments, communities, property owners, local businesses, and advocacy groups.
People are at the heart of Briony’s work—she enjoys forming great working relationships with partners, stakeholders, and the community to ensure they are involved in key decisions and to create positive long-term outcomes. She’s valued in the industry for her strategic communication planning and advice, excellent working relationships, and clear and engaging content for a wide variety of audiences. Briony has led successful communication and engagement programs on high-profile and complex infrastructure, engineering and design projects including Northern Pathway (formally Skypath), Let’s Get Wellington Moving, and the Southwest Gateway Program.
Though she’s been in New Zealand since 2015, Briony’s home is Manchester, UK—she still holds season tickets for Manchester United.
