For Ricky, transportation engineering is more than moving people and products from point A to point B. As a project manager in our Raleigh office, he delivers large, multidisciplinary transportation design projects across North Carolina—focusing on accelerated delivery, future operations and maintenance, asset management, safety and mobility, and transportation policy.
Ricky brings more than 40 years of progressive transportation experience including construction, maintenance, operations, and key leadership roles with the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT), where he served as the deputy chief engineer. His work has included environmentally sensitive design on the Hampstead Bypass in Pender County as well as accelerated, context-sensitive interchange design on the NC 24 Roseboro Bypass project in Sampson County. Currently, he’s managing design of a two-mile reconstruction project of NC 9 in Henderson County with an aggressive schedule after the area was damaged by Hurricane Helene.
Ricky’s goals? To move the needle in every endeavor, make his clients happy, and keep them excited about having him on their team. When he isn’t managing transportation projects, Ricky enjoys landscaping his home to provide some scenic beauty for the community or taking a long, reflective walk with his wife.
