With nearly two decades of experience in mine water treatment, Guadalupe is a chemical and environmental engineer. She’s designed both active and passive water treatment plants and is passionate about water quality and its impact on aquatic life, water supply, and recreational enjoyment.
Guadalupe’s experience in acid rock drainage prediction, evaluation, and treatment, is complemented by her work in geochemical characterization of waste rock, pits, and tailings. She also has a background in both laboratory and industrial chemistry. Additionally, she’s well versed in environmental compliance, regulatory laws, superfund sites, and local and international mine effluent regulations.
Fluent in Spanish, English, and Italian, Guadalupe is an invaluable asset on teams around the world. In fact, she’s managed mining projects in North and South America, Africa, United Kingdom, and Armenia.
She also enjoys spending time with her family, salsa dancing, and road biking.
