Sanka is a chartered geotechnical engineer with over 13 years’ experience in the geotechnical consulting and research fields. He’s been involved in many challenging geotechnical engineering projects as designer, proof engineer, and verifier.
Sanka is passionate about providing efficient and cost-effective solutions to challenging engineering problems. His experience lies in the design of deep excavations, earth retaining structures, pile foundations, and ground improvement techniques—with a special focus on transportation infrastructure projects. Geotechnical design and numerical modelling of large geotechnical engineering structures are amongst his key strengths. Sanka has worked on numerous major projects from the Warringah Freeway Upgrade and Coffs Harbour Bypass to More Trains More Services in NSW.
When he’s not solving geotechnical problems, Sanka loves reading, running, cycling, and planning family holidays.
