Nick’s responsibilities are focused around providing team technical direction for vegetation, wetlands, and soils. That means he works on direct project support and the development of standard operating procedures when it comes to environmental assessments—especially wetland assessments and vegetation impact assessments.
As a senior vegetation ecologist and project manager, Nick conducts field work, writes reports, completes quality reviews, and oversees project needs. During his time with the Manitoba/Minnesota Transmission project, Nick spent years with the client, helping this large and challenging project get approved. It required work at both the provincial and federal regulatory levels, and the final hearing really brought home to Nick the importance of quality work.
In his free time, Nick is still enjoying the outdoors. You might find him mountain biking, hiking, or camping. He likes to keep fit and healthy, and he finds those activities keep him active while still letting him relax and enjoy nature.
