Growing up with a love of nature and being outdoors, Deb was inspired to become a biologist. She started out as a fisheries biologist and progressed to terrestrial and wildlife biology before also taking on environmental planning and leadership roles. While she mainly works in transportation infrastructure, her diverse background gives her a solid understanding of requirements across most environmental disciplines.
With a career rooted in biology, Deb oversees our Planning and Ecology teams. Her responsibility for the overall performance of these groups includes project delivery and financial performance. She also acts as a senior reviewer for planning and ecology related deliverables as well as a project manager. Deb values the relationships that she’s built with various engineering disciplines—especially the collaborative spirit that comes from making a project or design work from both the design engineering and environmental perspectives, on paper and in practice.
Every day, Deb strives to see that the building of infrastructure, roads, and highways is done in an environmentally responsible way. A problem solver by nature, she’s an avid reader who relaxes with reading a good mystery.
