With nearly 40 years of technical engineering and construction experience working on industrial, hydropower, and mining projects all over the world, Pat has expertise in the fields of engineering, water management, environmental planning, mine waste management, and mine remediation and reclamation. Pat’s specific areas of technical expertise include tailing facility design, mine closure and reclamation, and design and construction as well as containment systems for mine waste disposal (tailing and waste rock facilities).
He’s currently engineer of record for six rockfill tailing dams in Europe, North America, and South America, and he’s involved in conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering as well as design and review. His many years of focus on tailing projects means that clients get the benefits of his experience working in different climates and geographies—key to world-class and safe structures.
Once he’s ready to take time away from his projects, Pat will be turning his attention to a cross-country cycling trip.
