Based in Raleigh, North Carolina, Matt is a senior geographic information systems (GIS) specialist. His experience is focused on database development, spatial analysis, mobile data collection, quality assurance/quality control, and client/public outreach.
Over the course of his career, Matt has provided GIS database support to utility infrastructure clients, created custom web mapping applications for data display and crowdsourcing data, and provided technical support and QA/QC for RiskMAP regulatory products for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). His experience includes field survey data capture, floodplain mapping, cartographic production, GIS modeling/Python scripting, and web and mobile GIS solutions. Matt has worked extensively as a project manager and GIS specialist for the FEMA Production and Technical Services contract, providing updates to flood risk studies in 28 states across the nation.
Matt enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, taking advantage of all the beautiful hiking and camping opportunities that North Carolina offers.
