David is experienced in planning for climate resilience, community development, and transportation while leading teams of interdisciplinary professionals. He manages several disaster recovery and climate adaptation projects to help communities address the impacts of climate change, strategize for future growth, and secure program and project funding.
Passionate about planning for equity, David’s experience includes nearly a decade in the public sector working on a $4.5 billion disaster recovery program. He has supported equitable planning and policy development for over 300 projects, including managing retreat, nature-based solutions, green infrastructure, stormwater, wastewater, energy, transportation, and parks projects. He’s also successfully applied for over $46 million in federal and foundation funding.
Away from the office, David enjoys playing trumpet, biking through Central Park, and traveling with his family. He’s a leader of the American Planning Association – NY Metro Chapter.
