With more than 20 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, Steve enjoys adapting to change and providing clients with value-added opportunities by applying emerging technologies. His current role includes managing and providing senior review for integrated teams of geotechnical, mining, and hydrogeological engineers.
Steve also supports geologists and technicians on mine development, operation, and closure projects. He recently completed a tailings futures roadmap for a multi-national mining corporation which will shape their mine tailings management strategy for years to come. Steve contributes his knowledge to advance technical excellence, risk management, and developing professionals in geotechnical engineering. He’s involved in several professional guidance teams such as the Canadian Dam Association (CDA), Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC), and the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).
Steve finds great joy in skiing, hiking, and biking in the mountains, and finding his way up and down a stream.
