Colin holds a Ph.D. in anthropology from the University of Calgary and has over 25 years professional and academic experience in ethnographic and historical research pertaining to Indigenous peoples in Canada. He has experience scoping, planning, and execution of traditional land and resource use studies and the inclusion of Indigenous knowledge in environmental assessments.
Working out of our Calgary office in Alberta, Colin provides nation-wide guidance and direction on the assessment of effects to Indigenous rights and interests in regulatory applications. He has appeared as an expert witness before the National Energy Board, the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency, the Mackenzie Valley Environmental Impact Review Board, and the Alberta Natural Resources Conservation Board.
When he’s not working to enhance delivery of Indigenous services, Colin spends time with his family and enjoys hiking, camping, skiing, and coaching minor hockey.
