Bill lends his expertise in both education and architecture to the conversation about school design. An architect motivated by the belief that great learning environments are derived from a fundamental understanding of education, Bill completed graduate studies at the University of Virginia’s Curry School of Education before returning to practice to apply lessons learned.
For over 20 years, Bill has been planning and designing safe, effective, and inspiring learning environments in support of the students and teachers sheltered within them. The result? His projects have not only garnered national recognition from both the education and architecture communities, they have successfully raised the bar for his clients.
Bill is a participant in the national dialogue and has held leadership positions with the Association for Learning Environments, the AIA’s Committee on Architecture for Education, and Phi Delta Kappa, among others. He’s also a Recognized Educational Facility Planner (REFP) and a LEED accredited professional.
