As a geotechnical project engineer, Rachel is experienced in the geotechnical evaluation of concrete and embankment dams and coal combustion residuals disposal facilities. In her work, she recognizes the importance of balancing design solutions with the natural environment.
Rachel’s technical experience includes slope stability analyses, seepage modeling, and internal erosion assessments. Her dam experience also includes potential failure mode analyses (PFMA) and dam safety risk assessments for embankment structures. Rachel understands that it takes forward-thinking and understanding to come up with creative solutions that contribute to clients’ long-term goals while also meeting their immediate needs.
When she’s not working, Rachel likes being outdoors and connecting with her surroundings. She enjoys hiking, kayaking, and gardening.
