Ben is the cultural resources team lead for our Mid-west region and a registered professional archaeologist with over 15 years of experience as an environmental consultant. He enjoys helping project developers identify cultural resources impacts early in the design process so they can design their projects in a way that minimizes effects to cultural resources and the environment.
Ben has solid relationships with staff from the State Historic Preservation Office and the Tribal Historic Preservation Office in multiple states within the Mid-west region and beyond, and he regularly represents clients before state, national review agencies, and Native Sovereign Nations. He believes that all projects can be developed when project proponents, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders can understand each other’s needs.
When not at work, Ben serves as president of the Professional Archaeologists of Kansas, where he advocates for archaeology in his home state. He enjoys being outdoors and spending time with his family.
