George leads our ecosystem restoration and nature-based solutions (NbS) group and is one of the driving forces behind some of the nation’s largest and most innovative stream restoration projects to date including the Elm Fork Stream Restoration, the North Platte River Restoration, and the Hatchery Creek Stream Restoration. He’s also helped to bring innovation to the field of stream restoration by leading the development of the RIVERMorph software, which is the industry standard throughout North America and internationally.
In his more than 30 years of experience, George has worked on NbS projects throughout the United States and Canada in a wide variety of geologic settings. With his broad stream restoration experience, George is highly sought after to instruct stream restoration training workshops, present at national conferences, and author papers.
George enjoys leading teams and setting the vision for Stantec’s Ecosystem Restoration/NbS practice, which spans across the globe.
