As technical discipline lead for urban drainage modelling, Andy helps develop and shape the strategic direction of our Urban Drainage Modelling group’s offerings and capabilities. His over 30 years’ experience in urban drainage design and modelling have given Andy extensive knowledge in improving the management and utilisation of waste and stormwater for our communities.
Among the skills he offers our clients are management/drainage planning, model builds, verification, and solution design for all aspects of urban drainage, along with water quality calibration/validation for urban pollution management, and bathing water studies. Andy enjoys his role in keeping drainage systems functional, capable, resilient, and safe for communities. He is proud of his contributions to major frameworks for UK water companies, from urban pollution management studies to combined sewer overflow improvement programmes. He’s also made major contributions to a number of different area master plan (AMP) programmes.
Outside of work, Andy enjoys lots of DIY projects around the house and woodworking in his shed. He enjoys playing badminton, occasionally going to the gym, and taking the family dogs on walks to get out into the countryside.
