Mario knew from a young age he wanted to be an engineer, working hands-on in the field. Fulfilling this goal, he has worked as a geotechnical engineer in Canada and as a civil engineer internationally. Twenty-five years later, he provides valuable industry experience as a construction supervisor, leading teams on-site, and personally performing foundation inspections to advance projects safely, on-time, and on-budget.
Doing things right and with precision is a guiding principle for Mario. He believes performing tasks precisely the first time is the key to efficiency, while allowing flexibility where needed. His is proud that his contributions to various fields, including earthworks, concrete, and landslide stabilization result in building long-lasting important infrastructure, such as urban light rail transit, that have generational impact. Perhaps it is his Italian heritage, but Mario feels a kinship with engineers across history whose accomplishments still stand.
Outside of work, Mario seeks adventure with his family, who share his passion for travel. Keeping his dream of being a musician alive, he also practices guitar, using a scientific learning approach to help tap into his creative side.
