As a water resources engineer, Babak’s areas of expertise are flood risk assessment, dam breach analysis, and hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modeling. His work includes developing dam breach studies, performing geospatial analysis, and conducting dam consequence failure studies. He also specializes in data processing, analysis, and geographic information systems (GIS) applications.
Having worked on intricate projects, Babak has a wealth of industrial experience in water resources engineering. He uses data and computer programming to improve decision-making, streamline processes, and increase model efficiency. Accurate H&H system analysis and visualization are further supported by his geospatial abilities. He believes that, by applying innovative modeling techniques, we are able to greatly improve outcomes.
Babak enjoys playing and watching soccer, spending time with friends and family, and taking scenic drives. These activities help him recharge and stay focused—much like tackling complex challenges in water resources engineering.
