Dami Adebambo

Senior Supervising Health Scientist

Dami is a senior supervising health scientist with expertise in human health risk assessment and consumer product safety. She earned her master’s in environmental toxicology from Duke University and a PhD in biology (toxicology) from North Carolina State University. Her dissertation focused on the effects of exposure to heavy metals on the development of preeclampsia. She also completed postdoctoral fellowships in genetics and chromosomal biology at Duke University and Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory.

Dami conducts toxicological risk and safety evaluations for consumer products that include medical devices, electronic nicotine delivery systems, food packaging, and pharmaceuticals. She monitors toxicological studies for biocompatibility regulatory submissions and Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) test orders. She evaluates the impact of legacy and emerging contaminants like lead and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

Away from her toxicology consulting work, Dami enjoys traveling, baking, biking, and family couch time.
