Taoiseach, Simon Harris TD, has officially opened Ryan Hanley Stantec’s new office in the heart of Dublin. The launch of the workspace by the Taoiseach marked a significant milestone for the joint venture (JV), following its long-term commitments to bring 125 new, high quality engineering, project management, environmental, and scientific jobs to Dublin’s city centre, and create a further 230 roles across the country over the next four years.
The Taoiseach was welcomed by the JV’s colleagues and clients in an event that celebrated the continued partnership between the two firms. With a primary focus on supporting the National Development Plan, the Ryan Hanley Stantec JV aims to help address the country’s infrastructure, water, wastewater and energy challenges with sustainable and community-focused solutions,
Ryan Hanley is a leading Irish engineering and environmental consultancy of 90 years standing. Stantec is a global leader in sustainable engineering, architecture, and environmental consulting with more than 31,000 colleagues worldwide.
55 colleagues will initially be based in the new office on Jervis Street, with a further 70 new jobs to be created in Dublin by 2025. As part of its ambitious joint growth strategy, the joint venture has committed to establishing another 230 new positions in Galway, Cork, Castlebar, and other locations across the country by 2028.
These roles will result in opportunities for professionals of all career levels across a range of specialised fields. These include engineering, project management, environmental science, building information modelling, data analytics, archaeology, and ecology.
“I was delighted to officially open the new offices of Ryan Hanley Stantec and to see this important investment taking place in the heart of Dublin city centre," said Taoiseach, Simon Harris TD.
“This new office marks the start of your joint venture’s ambitious growth plan, which will create 300 new jobs by 2028. We have ambitious plans for the future of the country and much to do in terms of providing the right infrastructure in the right places to support our growing population. We need to ensure that we have the right services such as water, energy and other infrastructure, provided at scale, in a sustainable way, to support a better quality of life for our citizens into the future."
Ryan Hanley Stantec was first established in 2018 to support Uisce Éireann (UÉ), The JV was appointed to the UÉ Engineering Design Services Framework in 2020 and the Capital Works PMO Services Framework in 2023. The JV team has been building in Dublin and across its regional offices in support of the water utility, growing to over 150 staff to date.
