Stantec, a global leader in sustainable design and engineering, has selected Jeff Lengkeek as its new Federal Infrastructure Sector Leader for the United States. In his new role, Lengkeek will oversee all aspects of market growth and development for Stantec’s US federal Infrastructure projects and will be an integral member of Stantec’s Infrastructure and US Federal leadership teams. Lengkeek will identify, prioritize, and develop key US Federal clients and will help to optimize the company’s success in capturing strategic US federal projects.

Lengkeek is a retired Navy Civil Engineer Corps Officer and joined Stantec in November of 2022 with 27 years of experience. He has previously held senior staff positions in Washington, D.C. at Commander Navy Installations Command, the Pentagon and Capitol Hill. During his last assignments in the Navy, he held key leadership roles based in Norfolk, Virginia at Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Mid-Atlantic as the Executive Officer and NAVFAC Atlantic headquarters as the Vice Commander supporting numerous design and construction programs. He comes with extensive leadership experience and knowledge of many US Federal Government Clients including the NAVFAC organization and processes.

“Throughout my career I’ve taken great pride in supporting the US Government in the design and construction of some of the country’s most impactful infrastructure projects,” stated Lengkeek. “I welcome and look forward to the opportunity to support Stantec in its vision of growing its US Federal Program.”

With the rapid growth of the firm’s US Federal Program and key federal accounts, the company is continuing to execute its strategic plan to further position Stantec for continued growth within the federal infrastructure landscape. The establishment of an Infrastructure US Federal Sector Lead is a key step in fostering the continued growth of the firm’s federal business.

“US federal infrastructure projects have been a core aspect of Stantec’s business for decades,” said Susan Walter, executive vice president of Stantec’s Infrastructure business. “Jeff’s impressive background and knowledge of the US federal infrastructure landscape will be a valuable addition to both our US Federal and Infrastructure teams. This key addition will only enhance the services we can provide the US government across the country.”

Stantec has extensive experience in supporting federal infrastructure projects for the US government, having delivered hundreds of projects nationally. The firm served as a technical advisor for the Hilo Breakwater Future Stability and Rising Sea Level Adaptation project, where our team supported the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Honolulu District. Additionally, Stantec provided design services for an expansion to the San Ysidro Land Port of Entry, the largest land border crossing between San Diego and Tijuana and the busiest international border crossing in the western hemisphere. Stantec also provided engineering and design services for the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PSNY), which involved the design of a dry dock facility aimed at supporting the US Navy’s ability to maintain and modernize critical vessels stationed at PSNY.
