Stantec names Angie Sakata as country manager for Peru
Sakata’s appointment is aligned with the Company’s new strategic growth plan

Stantec, a global leader in sustainable design and engineering, has appointed Angie Sakata as the new country manager of its office in Peru. In this role, Sakata will support the Company’s strategic plan and promote operational excellence in Peru. Stantec currently has a team of more than 300 professionals located in its Lima office, in addition to its project offices in Arequipa.
Sakata has more than 23 years of engineering consulting experience and has been part of Stantec since June 2010. Through her time with the firm, she has held leadership positions such as mining manager, Mining, Minerals, and Metals risk manager, and, most recently, project management director for Latin America. She also leads the regional Inclusion, Diversity & Equity committee and is a key player in Women at Stantec in Latin America, which promotes female empowerment and equity.

Sakata is a civil engineer who graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. She holds a Project Management Professional certification and a master of business administration from INCAE Business School (Costa Rica) and Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez (Chile).
Alberto Coya has served as country manager of Peru since 2015. With this appointment, he will be solely dedicated to his role as regional leader for Latin America, a fast-growing region with more than 600 employees in Argentina, Chile, and Peru.
