Stantec to support Entek Elektrik with Energy Consultancy Services

Stantec has been contracted by Entek Elektrik, one of Turkey’s leading utility companies, to provide energy consultancy services. Entek will cooperate with its business partners in providing Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) services to its clients. Stantec’s Istanbul-based team of energy engineers will support Entek in the development of an EPC framework by developing tools, templates, and guidelines; and provide training for Entek and its business partners. The team will also participate in energy audits, perform technical due diligence on energy audit reports, and provide independent Measurement and Verification (M&V) services to ensure proper functioning of EPC services.

Entek Elektrik is part of Koç Holding, the largest industrial conglomerate in Turkey. The energy generating company has supplied electricity since 1995, operating eight hydroelectric power plants and a gas-fired power plant with 362 MW installed capacity. In response to the ongoing energy transition, the company is strategically focused on strengthening its portfolio in sustainable and renewable energy investments in Turkey.

By applying our wealth of experience in energy engineering, Stantec is proud to advance the development of an EPC market in Turkey by establishing an ESCO (Energy Service Company) framework for an important market player such as Entek. This work will be complemented by strengthening Entek's institutional capacity through consultancy and M&V services.
