Stantec recognized for second consecutive year by CDP for strides made in addressing climate change

Global integrated design firm, Stantec, has been awarded an A-class rating within the world-recognized climate change index established by CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project) for the second year in a row. As the non-profit awarding body, CDP operates a global disclosure system enabling investors, companies, cities, states, and regions to manage and measure operational impacts on the environment.

For 2019, Stantec repeated our 2018 technical classification of A-, placing the firm in the “Leadership” category for contributing to a sustainable future.  The firm was among more than 7,000 reporting companies.

The Most Recent Commitment
This distinction from CDP adds to other sustainability achievements. Stantec was recently named one of Corporate Knights’ 2020 Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World and, on seven occasions, has been named by Corporate Knights as one of Canada’s Best 50 Corporate Citizens. Stantec also maintains an AA rating with MSCI, a leading provider of research-based indexes and analytics for institutional investors.
