Stantec set to provide comprehensive building services engineering.

Stantec is the building services engineer for the Plenary Health consortium that has been selected as the preferred bidder for the New Footscray Hospital project, the largest individual health infrastructure investment in Victoria, Australia.
The new hospital will offer outpatient, palliative care, and mental health services ensuring quality care is accessible to the local community. With more than 500 beds, the facility will be able to care for an additional 15,000 patients and an extra 20,000 people to be seen by the emergency department each year.
Being delivered as a public-private partnership, with the consortium to design, construct, finance and maintain the hospital for 25 years in partnership with the Victorian Government. The consortium comprises:
Stantec will provide mechanical, electrical, communications, hydraulics, fire protection, fire engineering, acoustics, specialist lighting and vertical transportation services to the consortium.
Construction is set to commence immediately upon contract award and the new Footscray Hospital is expected to open in 2025.
