With more than 37 years of experience delivering automotive technologies in Europe, Asia, and the United States as a technical and business leader, Andy is a highly respected member of the AV community.
Within Stantec GenerationAV™, he focuses on development testing, safety, and technical standards. Andy’s knowledge is particularly relevant to our customers as they look to safely deploy the latest technology in connected and automated vehicles. While chief technology officer of SAE International, he led the teams to produce the first cyber security guidelines (J3061) and the first recommended practice for driving automation levels (J3016) which have since been adopted globally.
As the chief technology officer of the American Center for Mobility, Andy delivered one of the first purpose-built, large-scale AV test facilities in North America. He’s also founder and chair of the AV Test Site Community of Practice which is a global task force under SAE’s On Road Automated Driving Committee.
