Rebecca Leitschuh

Senior Associate, Infrastructure Resilience Leader

Photo of Rebecca

Rebecca is passionate about where land use and hazards intersect. With lived experience as an evacuee during Hurricane Katrina, she understands the importance of incorporating human resilience and adaptability into design. And at the end of the day, she wants to make sure people and the infrastructure they depend on are safe. As our infrastructure resilience leader, Rebecca works with our sector and regional teams to integrate resilience into projects and to grow our North American Infrastructure Resilience practice.

Rebecca’s career spans local, state, and federal government with broad experience in climate adaptation, hazard mitigation, emergency management, and land use planning. She’s currently working for two department of transportation clients, evaluating transportation assets across each state to identify climate change vulnerabilities then prioritizing projects for federal funding. She’s also working on a military installation resilience review to protect and preserve military readiness and support continued community and economic development.

When she isn’t leading infrastructure and resilience planning for our communities, Rebecca enjoys carting her kids around to hobbies—and rediscovering that she too has hobbies. Like fais-do-dos, eating spicy food, and learning the mandolin.
