As a principal health scientist and board-certified toxicologist, Annette brings over 30 years of multidisciplinary consulting experience to our ChemRisk team. She is known for her knowledge of toxicology, epidemiology, human health risk assessment, and consumer product safety.
Prior to her consulting career, Annette worked at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, conducting in vitro research to identify chemoprotective substances. Through her research, she identified cruciferous vegetables, especially broccoli, as potentially highly protective against carcinogens.
Annette has conducted safety assessments for a variety of consumer products to determine their compliance with US, European, and Canadian regulations as well as California’s Proposition 65. She has also critically evaluated the human health risks associated with consumer, occupational, and environmental exposures to a wide variety of chemicals as well as product liability and regulatory matters.
When not working to improve consumer safety, Annette enjoys hiking, yoga, traveling, scuba diving, quilting, arts and crafts, and spending time with her cats and family.
